01Garages in Longmont
What Longmont floors look like.
Longmont has a big spread of homes: older houses close to downtown with narrow or detached garages, established neighborhoods from the '70s through the '90s, and newer subdivisions on the edges of town with attached two- and three-car garages.
There are also a lot of workshops, home businesses and small commercial spaces in and around Longmont. Whether it's a garage you park in or a shop you work in, the floor gets the same diamond-ground prep and repair before any coating goes down.
Whatever the floor, the job looks the same: we diamond-grind the slab, repair cracks and pits, put down a base coat, broadcast flake or quartz (or pour metallic), and seal it with a clear topcoat. No acid etching, no roll-on kits.
02Why coat it
Built for Longmont winters.
Longmont winters bring the usual Front Range freeze-thaw, plus slush and road treatment on the commute to Boulder or Denver. That all lands on the garage floor. Bare concrete absorbs it, and over a few seasons the surface starts to scale and pit.
Three things wear out Colorado garage floors, and a properly installed coating handles all three:
- 1
Freeze-thaw
Bare concrete is porous. Snowmelt soaks in, freezes overnight and expands, and over a few Longmont winters that pops the surface into scaling, pits and spalled edges by the door. - 2
Mag chloride & road deicer
Colorado roads are treated with magnesium chloride and other deicers. It rides home on your tires, drips off as the car warms up and keeps eating at a bare slab. On a sealed floor it stays on top, where it rinses off. - 3
Hot-tire pickup
Tires heat up on the highway. Park a hot tire on a thin, poorly bonded coating and it can soften and lift right off with the tire. Diamond-ground prep and a real topcoat are how we prevent it.

Real Iron Cross jobs, photographed before we started and after we finished. No filters, no renders.

BeforeAfter“These guys are awesome, came in, figured out what needed to be done, and knocked it out. I had a large crack on my floor, along with several smaller ones, and they are gone. The large one was 9 ft and going in several different directions, and it's gone. Great job guys!!”

09FAQ
Longmont questions.
Don't see yours? Call and ask. That's what the phone's for.
How much does an epoxy garage floor cost in Longmont?
Our full-flake garage system runs about $6.25–$6.50 per sq ft. For example, a 2-car garage (about 450 sq ft) with full-flake lands around $2,813–$2,925. Slab repair can change that, so your final price comes after a free on-site measure.
My Longmont garage has an old peeling coating. Can you coat over it?
Not over it. A peeling coating has to come off, or the new one fails with it. We diamond-grind the old coating off, repair the slab and start fresh. Grinding and repair runs about $2–$4 per sq ft on its own.
Do you coat workshop and commercial floors in Longmont?
Yes. Solid-color and quartz systems are common for shops and commercial spaces; full-flake works well too. We'll recommend one at the free walkthrough.
