Nearby towns we serve

Severance has turned from a small farm town into one of the faster-growing spots in Weld County. Most homes are newer builds with attached two- and three-car garages, and a lot of them are still sitting on bare concrete from the builder.

Around town there are also acreage lots with shops and outbuildings. Newer slabs mean less repair work, so most Severance floors go straight from diamond grinding to coating.

Whatever the floor, the job looks the same: we diamond-grind the slab, repair cracks and pits, put down a base coat, broadcast flake or quartz (or pour metallic), and seal it with a clear topcoat. No acid etching, no roll-on kits.

02Why coat it

Built for Severance winters.

Severance sits on open ground north of Windsor, where wind and blowing snow are part of winter. Melt-off and road treatment drip off the car and soak into bare concrete, and every freeze-thaw cycle works on that surface.

Three things wear out Colorado garage floors, and a properly installed coating handles all three:

  1. 1

    Freeze-thaw

Bare concrete is porous. Snowmelt soaks in, freezes overnight and expands, and over a few Severance winters that pops the surface into scaling, pits and spalled edges by the door.
  2. 2

    Mag chloride & road deicer

Colorado roads are treated with magnesium chloride and other deicers. It rides home on your tires, drips off as the car warms up and keeps eating at a bare slab. On a sealed floor it stays on top, where it rinses off.
  3. 3

    Hot-tire pickup

Tires heat up on the highway. Park a hot tire on a thin, poorly bonded coating and it can soften and lift right off with the tire. Diamond-ground prep and a real topcoat are how we prevent it.

“These guys are awesome, came in, figured out what needed to be done, and knocked it out. I had a large crack on my floor, along with several smaller ones, and they are gone. The large one was 9 ft and going in several different directions, and it's gone. Great job guys!!”
