Metallic epoxy floors
Poured, swirled metallic pigment with real depth. Every floor is one of a kind.
01What it is
Metallic, done right.
Best for
- Showrooms and storefronts
- Basements and bars
- Statement garages
Metallic epoxy is a poured floor with metallic pigment mixed into the resin. While it's still wet, it's worked by hand, so the pigment flows and settles into swirls, veins and depth that look like polished stone or liquid metal. No two metallic floors come out the same.
It's a statement floor. It's the one people want in showrooms, storefronts, bars, finished basements and garages that are more showroom than storage. It's also more involved than a flake floor: there's no flake to hide anything, so the slab prep and the pour have to be right.
Metallic floors are smooth and high-gloss. That makes them easy to clean, and it also means they show dust and scratches more than a flake floor does, which is why we usually steer heavy-use working garages toward flake and save metallic for spaces where the look matters most.
02The process
How we install it.
- 1
Diamond-grind the slab
We grind the whole floor with diamond tooling to remove the weak top layer, sealers, stains and old coatings, and to open the concrete up. That profile is what lets the coating bite into the slab instead of sitting on top of it, which is why acid etching and roll-on kits peel and ground floors don't. - 2
Repair cracks, pits and spalls
Cracks are cut open and filled, pitting and spalled spots by the door are patched, and every repair is ground flush with the slab. Fixing them before coating keeps them from telegraphing through your new floor. - 3
Primer and base coat
A primer seals the slab and a base color sets the tone the metallic moves over. The base color has a big effect on how light or dark the finished floor reads. - 4
Metallic pour
Metallic epoxy is poured and worked by hand while it's wet to create the movement and depth. This is where the floor becomes one of a kind. - 5
Clear topcoat
A clear topcoat goes over the metallic layer for wear resistance and gloss.
03Time & care
How long, and how to keep it.
Good for showrooms and storefronts, basements and home bars, man caves and statement garages.
Metallic floors take longer than flake floors because the epoxy layers need time to cure between coats. Plan on more than one day for most spaces. We'll give you the schedule at the free estimate.
Epoxy cures more slowly than polyaspartic. Light foot traffic usually comes after a day or so, furniture and vehicles later. Temperature changes all of that, and we'll tell you exactly when your floor is ready.
Caring for your floor
- Dust-mop often. Grit is what scratches a gloss floor.
- Use felt pads under furniture and bar stools.
- Mop with warm water and a mild cleaner.
- Use mats at entries to catch sand and grit.

How much does a metallic epoxy floor cost?
Metallic runs about $9–$12 per sq ft. A 450 sq ft space lands around $4,050–$5,400. The final price depends on the slab and the design and is set at a free on-site measure.
Can I put metallic epoxy in my garage?
Yes, and it looks incredible. It's smooth and glossy, so it shows dust and scratches more than flake. If the garage is a working space, flake is usually the better choice; if it's a showroom for your vehicles, metallic is hard to beat.
Can I pick the colors?
Yes. The base color and metallic pigments set the look. Try metallic colors on a photo of your space with the floor visualizer, and we'll bring samples to the measure.
Is metallic epoxy slippery?
Smooth gloss floors can be slick when wet. Texture can be added to the topcoat for areas that see water.
“These guys are awesome, came in, figured out what needed to be done, and knocked it out. I had a large crack on my floor, along with several smaller ones, and they are gone. The large one was 9 ft and going in several different directions, and it's gone. Great job guys!!”

You can tell they take pride in their process — the floor looks clean, uniform, and professionally installed. They showed up on time, kept the workspace organized, and delivered exactly what was promised.”
